Mailed our first postcards to our Pennsylvania
friends.We can't wait to hear from them.

We received our first package from our new friends.
Our Pennsylvanian friends sent us some fantastic facts about their state, along with a map to help us figure out where they
are. We really enjoyed the chocolate covered pretzels. All the children are excited to get to know each other better.

Fri. Oct. 27

Mailed our package off to our friends in Pennsylvania.
While they are waiting to hear from us, we are finishing up our math surveys to send them our data so that both classes can
build graphs comparing the two classess. Look for that project coming soon.

Nov. 7-10

This week we worked on building graphs as part of

Nov. 29
|
We received our much anticipated letters today,
which we shared with the whole class. We are a little jealous that our friends had no school Monday.(o: We are working hard
on our descriptive project and thinking about a quick Christmas note.
Mrs. Sawyer and Mrs. Grover are working on coordinating
a super neat activity ~ check back for more details!

Dec. 8
|
Today we mailed our descriptive paragraphs to our friends.
We each drew a creature than wrote a paragraph to describe it. Our pen pals will try to draw our monsters based on the
descriptions and we will compare the two pictures.
We also made Christmas cards to send along to wish our friends a Merry Christmas.

Jan. 3
|
We received our Christmas package from our friends today. What
a great treat for on our first day back from vacation. Our pals made us ornaments and bookmarks, along with cards.
On Thursday, Mrs. Grover received an email with the drawings
our friends have completed based on our description paragraphs. Check back soon to see our side of the project. We can't
wait to get their paragraphs and try to draw what they have created!

Feb. 12
|
We received our package of Valentine's from
our friends. We enjoyed reading about Milton Hershey while munching on the delicious chocolate. We had recently "visited"
the Hershey factory vis the internet for a virtual tour. We mailed our lastest letters and our Valentine's. We hope they reach them by Wednesday.

We received our package today containing the Pennsylvania ABC
book our friends made. It is awesome! We could tell they really worked hard to share so fun information about
their state!

|
Today we mailed our box of Iowa books to our friends.
Hopefully it will get to them by the first of next week. We are really excited about the coming polycom "visit" we'll
be doing with our friends on Wednesday. Check back for more on how that goes.
