This year we will have weekly spelling lists while also working on transferring
our spelling skills into our daily writing. Each week we will look at a new spelling rule, but also at a skill to help
us be better writers. Proofreading our work is another skill we will be working on. Check
in each week to see our new list of words and to find out what skill we are working on in English.
In English we have finished up our animal reports.
You can check these out on our blog. The class did a fantastic job with this writing piece. I am sure you will
be as impressed with them as I am. We will be doing more work with grammar and mechanics before we move on to descriptive
writing and poetry.
Students
are moving toward doing more of their work in cursive. Spelling assignments are now expected to be done in cursive.
